I’m excited to announce that HighByte Intelligence Hub version 3.0 is now available in beta.
The release is packed with powerful new capabilities, including a fully integrated MQTT broker, enhanced Central Configuration, more intuitive user experience, and many more. These capabilities will enable you to rapidly deploy the data infrastructure you need to build a Unified Namespace (UNS), scale these deployments, manage the environment, and meet your advanced Industrial DataOps use case requirements.

New Capabilities
- MQTT Broker. Easily enable the MQTT broker on new or existing installations with one click. The broker is focused on factory use cases and supports both v3.1.1 and v5.0 of the MQTT standard. Core to UNS use cases, this MQTT broker supports both JSON and Sparkplug workflows. Future releases will include more integrated features to allow you to build out your factory UNS even faster.
- Tagging in Central Configuration. Easily manage multiple use cases or common components in Central Configuration mode. Connections, Instances, Models, and other configuration components can now be grouped by tags and filtered in the UI. This allows users to easily view or edit a use case or common component, and then sync or compare with one or more remote hubs.
- New User Experience. The user interface has been redesigned to make configuring and managing the Intelligence Hub even easier. The UI now sports a left-hand navigation panel and re-deigned page layouts to make finding and editing configuration more intuitive. There is too much here to catalog it all, so please try it out and send us your feedback.
- Additional Capabilities. We’ve added OPC UA Methods, CSV import for creating and editing OPC UA Inputs, the ability to browse and add MQTT and OPC UA Inputs through the reference panel, JSON based Model Import, and more. This release contains many more improvements requested by customers.
But there is even more to come in version 3.0, scheduled to ship in Q1 2023. Over the next few months, we will continue to refine the existing functionality and add additional capabilities, releasing a second beta around the end of the year. Stay tuned for updates in your inbox.
Customer Experience
In addition to the investments we’re making in R&D, we are also continuously adding resources across the business to ensure your success.
In the past six months, we’ve launched new assets and programs to ensure you are successful with HighByte Intelligence Hub—from the moment you join the trial program through your first renewal. We released a Trial Accelerator Kit with sample configurations and data as well as preparation exercises to get you comfortable with the features, capabilities, and user interface of HighByte Intelligence Hub. We released a dynamic training environment and training program for the Intelligence Hub, delivered by one of our talented solution engineers. And we’ve released a comprehensive customer onboarding program that includes a use case designer and reference architecture schematic for every customer.
In the next six months, we expect to roll out an online customer portal to manage product licenses, submit support inquiries, and search the knowledge base with greater self-service.

New Pricing & Licensing Options
Given the investments across R&D and customer success and the increased value the Intelligence Hub provides since its original release in 2020, the release of version 3.0 provided a good time to evaluate our pricing and license options. We’ve strived to keep pricing simple, transparent, and consistent so you know exactly what to expect. The following changes will go into effect on January 1, 2023:
- The Enterprise license will be available for 10+ sites. The Enterprise license provides unlimited installations per company, managed under one annual contract.
- The Professional license will be available for $17,500/year. The Professional license provides unlimited installations within a single site.
- A fully featured Evaluation license will be available for $4,500/60-days following the 30-day trial. The Evaluation license is ideal for customers who require additional testing prior to launching new software into production.
- The Trial license remains free and capped at 30 days.
- We will also offer a Distributed license (ideal for oil & gas customers) and a Machine Builder license with pricing based on volume, use case, and architecture.
